The BSH Department conducts AICTE-mandated Induction Programme every year in July for the newly admitted B.Tech. students in order to introduce the them to the culture and ethos of the institution and familiarise them with other students and the faculty members.

It is aimed at a holistic approach to the development of the student through

  • Lectures and workshops by eminent personalities;
  • Visits to orphanages, old-age homes and science museums;
  • Proficiency modules aimed at improving English communication skills and strengthening mathematics knowledge; and
  • Physical activity, creative arts and culture, literary activity.

The Department organizes expert talks by eminent scholars in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Humanities that enable the students to get insight into various areas beyond the academic curriculum.
