The buzzword across the globe for the 21st century is Innovation – the ability to take inventions to marketplace by translating scientific knowledge into products, services and offerings for economic growth and social development. TINT aims to create a sustainable innovation ecosystem. This ecosystem will encourage, inspire and nurture young students by exposing them to new ideas and processes resulting in innovative activities in their formative years.

The institute is committed to leverage the potential of the problem solving abilities and entrepreneurial acumen of the students and faculty and also promotes strong intra and inter-institutional partnerships. In consonance with the National Innovation and Start-up Policy of Govt. of India, in coordination with AICTE and UGC policies, TINT works towards building, streamlining and strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in campus.

TINT is one of the few colleges in West Bengal to formalise the methods of innovation and entrepreneurship by officially joining the National Innovation and Start-up Policy (NISP) 2019 for students and faculty. As a part of this policy, TINT has set up Institution Innovation Cell (IIC) to systematically foster the culture of innovation among the students and faculty. Through this initiative, the college is a part of the larger network of institutions nationally collaborating the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship thereby enhancing the exposure of the students and faculty.

TINT participates in Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA), an initiative of Ministry of Education, GOI, to systematically rank all major higher educational institutions and universities in India on indicators related to Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development amongst students and faculty.
