The digital or online library is housed in the reading room with an internet speed of 1GBPS. 10 computer systems are being provided at present to access the online resources subscribed by the college library. The following online resources are currently available in the library.

eJournals - The library currently subscribes to Elsevier’s Science Direct online journal package for Engineering and computer science covering almost all disciplines of engineering and science. It contains 275 journals. [URL: https://www.sciencedirect.com/]

eBooks – The library also has a subscription of following eBooks packages

  1. ProQuest eBook Central: contains 40,000 eBooks [URL: https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/auth/lib/tictin/login.action]
  2. Elsevier eBooks (Focus Collection): contains about 13,000 eBooks on Engineering, Mathematical and Material Science. [URL: https://www.sciencedirect.com/]
  3. Elsevier eBooks (Hybrid model): perpetual access [URL: https://www.sciencedirect.com/]

Apart from these subscribed eBooks the library also has a repository of free eBooks of about 1000 which can be accessed from the digital section.

National Digital Library of India (NDL) – The library is a member of National Digital Library of India (NDLI), an initiative sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India and coordinated by Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. It comprises high quality educational materials ranging from primary to post graduate levels. It has a various and diverse subject domain from science and technology to social science and humanities. More than 60 types of learning resources are currently available here. Video lectures of NPTEL (National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning) have also been made available in NDLI.

Remote Access software: The library provides the facility of accessing its eResources outside the college campus. For the purpose we have subscribed to Knimbus mLibrary Standard which not only helps in remote access but also keeps track of usage of resources on daily basis.

 

Library Hours

The library remains open on all weekdays and remains closed on Sundays and other Institute Holidays.

Monday to Friday: 09:30 am – 06:00 pm

Saturday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Circulation Hours: 10:00 am – 05:00 pm
