Institute's Innovation Council organized celebration of National Technology Day on May 11, 2022; 10:00 A.M.

Objective of the Program:
Techno International New Town, Kolkata celebrated National Technology Day on 11th of May, 2022. The focus was to engage the students in certain activities by placing them in several challenges and adjudging them on the basis of their talents. The program also helped the students to gather knowledge about the technological advancements in our country. The remarkable achievements of our scientists and engineers were also commemorated in this event.

THEME:
National Technology Day is celebrated every year on 11th of May to mark the successful nuclear tests conducted in Pokhran at May, 1998. This is to mark India’s progress in the field of Science and Technology. We celebrated this event by organising events like “Swap and Code”- which basically encouraged students to write a code and after a certain interval some or the other student would write the remaining part of the code. We had also arranged a “Speech Competition” for students to talk on the technological advancements in India. There was also a “Code Hunt” program for programmers to write a code and perform a given task. The events complemented and rewarded the talented ones and encouraged them to perform better in the near future. We were also successful in finding out the potential of the students which would benefit the college as well as him.

OUTCOME:
Through this event the students successfully got to know about the importance of the day. The students were informed about various technological advancements in the field of Science and Technology. The coding competition events made the students aware of their own potential to take up challenges and also showed them the points in which they lacked. Moreover this event was full of nurturing, guidance and lots of learning.
