Training on Happiness

The Department of Management TINT, conducted a 5-day training program on Happiness from 19th July 2021 to 23rd July 2021. The workshop was designed to A staff development program focused on happiness aims to enhance the well-being and job satisfaction of employees. The participants were the admin staffs of TINT.
The primary objectives of the training program were:
• Promoting positive work environment by fostering a sense of belonging and solidarity among team members.
• Enhancing emotional intelligence by promoting self- awareness and empathy among the workers and help them to understand the reasons for stress.
• Building Resilience mindset to bounce back from adversity and equip employees with strategies to cope with challenges and setbacks.
• Encouraging work-life balance
• Cultivating a positive mindset by shifting focus from problems to solutions and opportunities.
• Foster teamwork and effective communication by enhancing collaboration and mutual support among team members.
The program:
The program was inaugurated at 10AM on 19th July 2021 by lighting the lamp and watering the plants, Lighting of the lamp and Inaugural address by Principal, TINT and welcome address, by Prof. Debangshu Chatterjee, HOD Management Department by Day 1: Self- Management and Stress Management: The topics covered were Introduction to Positive Psychology, define happiness and introduce the concept of positive psychology. Discuss key theories and research on happiness. Participants were encouraged participants to reflect on their own sources of happiness. Day 2: The team explored the science of gratitude and its impact on well-being. The trainer guided participants in creating gratitude lists and journals. Introduce mindfulness techniques to manage stress. The trainer conducted guided mindfulness exercises Day 3: The importance of positive communication was discussed. The team conducted team- building activities to foster connection. The facilitator helped the participants to explore their emotional intelligence and discussed its role in building positive relationships. Conducted interactive exercises to enhance emotional intelligence. Day 4 The significance of work-life balance for overall well-being were discussed. Facilitator provided tips and strategies for achieving balance. Explored ways to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The impact of organizational culture on employee happiness were discussed. Last day, the trainer guided participants in setting personal and professional goals aligned with happiness, the importance of ongoing self-improvement were discussed. Helped participants to create a personalized action plan for integrating happiness practices into their daily lives.
