Rabindra Jayanti is celebrated on the 25th day of Baisakh month each year on the occasion of Rabindra Nath Tagore’s birth anniversary. It is celebrated all around the world to celebrate Tagore’s great works in the fields of culture, literature and poetry. Thus, like every year, Hridmajhare – The Club of Performing Arts of Techno International New Town hosted a cultural programme for Rabindra Jayanti on 8th May 2020 to commemorate the maestro on his 159th birth anniversary. Keeping in mind and adhering to all of the restrictions imposed by the Government of India to protect the country and its citizens from the wave of the Corona pandemic, the Club decided to host their Rabindra Jayanti programme "কবি প্রণাম ১৪২৭", online. On May 8, 2020, the Club released a video of a series of music and dance performances by the students of the college who presented a spectacular show with great enthusiasm and enthralled the audience by rendering melodious songs, graceful dances and recitations. This celebration of music not only played a vital role in the overall holistic development of the students but also created awareness among them about the importance of music in our life. ______________________________
