The Department of Basic Science and Humanities organized SCINTILLA, an exhibition and competition of Science and Linguistics on the 22^nd of July 2022, at the college premises. The exhibition was aimed at showcasing varied perspectives of looking at the world through scientific lens and linguistic subtlety. The acclaimed scientist and ex-Director, Research & Academic of M.P. Birla Planetarium, Dr. Debiprosad Duari delivered a talk to the faculty and the students at the institute. Students from other schools like St. Jude’s High School, Kolkata and Sunderban Suryaday Vidyaniketan from Sunderban also participated in the event. The students showcased several innovative projects on science and technology like “ Smart Home,” “Thermo-beats,” “Ozone Layer Depletion,” “Statistical Regularity” etc. The team Plastic Waste to Petrol won the first prize, Smart medicine reminder using Arduino won the second prize, WalkPi-TalkPi and Automatic Street light controller jointly received the third prize. The team effort of the faculty members and students made the event a grand success.
