A poster presentation combines text and graphics to present the topic in a way that is visually interesting and accessible. It allows one to display his/her work to a large group of other scholars and to talk to and receive feedback from interested viewers. A poster should clearly articulate what you did, how you did it, why you did it, and what it contributes to your field and the larger field of human knowledge.

BBA department of Techno India College of Technology organized a Poster competition among BBA students from all years on 20^th February,2017. Total 45 students participated in the Poster competition. They were divided into groups of 5 each. Total 9 teams were formed. Each team was given a topic for making a poster. Total 2 hours time was given to each team. Topics on which the posters were made are:

• Earth is getting hotter.
• Road safety awareness
• Benefits of daily exercise
• Save water, save life
• Keys to improve productivity of farmers
• Say no to air pollution
• Say no to child labour
• Smoking kills
• Save paper, save the Planet

After completion of 2 hours, Poster were displayed on boards and judges were invited to judge the posters. They were judged on the following criteria – Clarity of thought, time taken content, presentation and execution. 1st, 2^nd and 3^rd were declared.

Some of the goals of poster presentation are -

• Posters should visually guide each viewer through the basics of the study, freeing one to clarify and discuss essential elements of the work.
• Poster presentations facilitate the rapid communication of scientific ideas. They combine a verbal presentation with a visual aid.
• Posters are less formal than seminars and much more interactive.
• The opportunity to meet people and interact one-on-one is one of the major advantages of a poster session.
