IQAC, TINT, conducted a -day workshop on " Effective Writing Etiquettes” for the administrative staffs on 14th December 2020 – 18th December 2020. The workshop was designed to A staff development program focused on business writing skills, which should equip participants with the knowledge and abilities necessary for effective and professional written communication in a business context.

The program was inaugurated online, brief welcome address by Dr. Ayan Chakraborty, Keynote speech by Director Dr. R T Goswami. Day 1: Dr, Sayantika Bose Chaudhuri delivered a lecture on Overview of the Training Program, Importance of Effective Business Writing. In the second session, Common Challenges while communicating etc. Prof Ipsita Ghatak elucidated about understanding your audience, tone and style in Business Writing, Exercises and Discussion on Audience. Day 2: The Core Component of Effective writing skill were discussed and Grammar and Punctuation Essentials, Sentence Structure and Clarity etc were discussed. Second half, Proofreading and Editing Techniques, Common Writing Mistakes and How to Avoid Them, Practical Exercises and Peer Review etc were discussed by Dr. Ruma Basu Gomes in Effective writing skills. Day 3: Planning and organizing business documents, Purpose and Structure of Business Documents, Planning and Outlining Techniques, Creating Effective Introductions and Conclusion were discussed by the facilitator. Day 4 Formatting and Layout Best Practices, Headings, Bullets, and Numbering were discussed in the first half and in second half, participants were briefed about the Writing Professional Emails, Netiquette and Email Etiquette, Responding to Emails Effectively, Document Design Principles etc. Last day, the trainer guided participants in Data Presentation and Visualization, Review of Sample Reports and Proposal, Final Q&A and Wrap-Up closed the program.
