IQAC, TINT, conducted a -day workshop on “Leadership and Team Building” for the administrative staffs on 24th September 2018 to 28th September 2018. This program was designed to equip our administrative staff with essential leadership skills and to foster cohesive team dynamics necessary for organizational success:

The primary objectives of the training program were:

  • Enhance Leadership Skills: Provide participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills to become effective leaders within their administrative roles.
  • Promote Team Building: Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment by understanding team dynamics, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Develop Communication Skills: Equip participants with effective communication techniques essential for team cohesion and productivity.
  • Encourage Practical Application: Enable participants to apply leadership principles and team-building strategies in real-world scenarios.

The program:

The program was inaugurated by the director, brief welcome address by Dr. T K Nandi, the IQAC coordinator, Keynote speech by Director Dr. R T Goswami. Day 1: In the first session Mr. Arindam Mukherjee discussed Introduction to Leadership - Overview of leadership theories and styles. Importance of self-awareness and emotional intelligence in leadership. In the second half Prof. Ipsita Ghatak delivered a lecture on Team Dynamics: Understanding team roles and dynamics followed by interactive activities to build trust and fostering a positive team culture through. To be a leader, communication plays a big role, Prof. Gautami Chattopadhyay and Dr. Ruma Gomes, facilitated the group with the concept of strategic Leadership. In the first Half: Decision Making and Problem Solving: Techniques for effective decision-making under pressure. Problem-solving methodologies and their application in administrative contexts were discussed. Guest speakers shared leadership insights and experiences. How to motivate a team and build a high performing team, was the agenda for fourth day. Strategies for motivating and inspiring teams, recognizing and rewarding team achievements, techniques for setting team goals and measuring performance and creating an environment conducive to innovation and continuous improvement were discussed by the trainers. In the last day a group projects were conducted where participants apply learned skills to solve real-world challenges. Based on their deliberations, mentoring and peer feedback sessions were conducted to enhance learning. The program concluded with reflection on the program's impact and personal growth Application of learned skills through practical exercises simulates thought among the participants and they are evaluated individual and team achievement areas for improvement of management practices. The training contributed significantly to improving organizational efficiency and compliance with record management standards. We anticipate continued benefits from the implementation of these practices across the organization. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of record management principles and their practical applications, skills in organizing enhanced, also classifying, and retrieving records efficiently were comprehended.
