Dr. Hadyan Hafizh is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Artificial Intelligence at Sunway University, Malaysia. His research interests encompass artificial intelligence, multimodal data analytics and fusion, the Internet of Things, computer vision, intelligent transportation, and AI-enabled systems. His work focuses on translating advanced computational methods into practical, scalable, and socially relevant solutions for real-world challenges.
Dr. Hafizh leads multidisciplinary and multinational research collaborations across ASEAN. As Principal Investigator of an ASEAN IVO project funded by the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan, he leads the development of an AIoT-based road-health monitoring platform involving partners from Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Cambodia. The initiative applies smartphone sensing, computer vision, and multimodal data fusion to make road-condition assessment more accessible, affordable, and scalable, particularly in regions where specialised monitoring infrastructure is limited.
He also leads the TRANSFORM-ASEAN consortium under the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package Higher Education Programme. This regional initiative brings together higher education and TVET institutions, industry, government-related stakeholders, and civil society across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Cambodia. The project supports digital transformation through capacity building in artificial intelligence, IoT, cybersecurity, smart manufacturing, and smart infrastructure, while contributing to institutional development and regional policy recommendations for digital upskilling.
Through high-impact research, international collaboration, and strategic engagement with leading technology organisations, Dr. Hafizh advances the translation of artificial intelligence into practical and socially meaningful applications. Positioned at the intersection of AI, intelligent infrastructure, and digital transformation, he is committed to developing responsible, inclusive, and scalable solutions that promote safer infrastructure, strengthen education and workforce capabilities, and support sustainable community development across the ASEAN region.
Prof. Bimal Kumar Roy, Ph.D.

Prof. Bimal Kumar Roy obtained his B.Stat. and M.Stat. degrees from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He served as a faculty member at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata until March 2024 and held the position of Director of ISI during 2010–2015. He also served as Chairman of the National Statistical Commission from 2019 to 2022.
Prof. Roy's research expertise spans Cryptography, Security, Data Analytics, and Statistics, areas in which he has made significant contributions through research, teaching, and academic leadership. His work has had a lasting impact on the fields of information security and statistical sciences.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to science and education, Prof. Roy was honoured with the Padma Shri Award by the Government of India in 2015.

Prof. Nabendu Chaki is a Professor and Former Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Calcutta, India, and a Senior Member of IEEE. He has made significant contributions to computer science research, higher education, and academic leadership through his extensive work in teaching, research, and international collaboration.
Prof. Chaki has authored three textbooks with renowned publishers, including Taylor & Francis (CRC Press) and Pearson Education, and has edited several volumes in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series published by Springer and other prestigious publication series. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed research papers in leading international journals and conferences. His research interests include Image Processing, Distributed Systems, and Network Security.
He has served as a Research Assistant Professor in the Ph.D. Program in Software Engineering at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, USA, and has been a visiting faculty member at several international universities, including the University Ca' Foscari Venice, Italy. Prof. Chaki contributed to the IEEE Computer Society's Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK) Version 3 as a Knowledge Area Editor for Mathematical Foundations. He serves on the editorial boards of several international journals, has been a member of the organizing and technical committees of more than 50 international conferences, and has been the Founding Chapter Chair of the ACM Professional Chapter, Kolkata, India, since January 2014.
Prof. Amlan Chakrabarti

Prof. (Dr.) Amlan Chakrabarti is Professor and Director of the A. K. Choudhury School of Information Technology, University of Calcutta, and also heads the IT & Technology Innovation Cell, Government of West Bengal. With nearly two decades of experience in engineering education and research, he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta and subsequently carried out post-doctoral research at Princeton University.
He has published more than 200 research papers, holds five patents, and has successfully guided 20 Ph.D. scholars. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Cyber-Physical Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), VLSI CAD, and Quantum Computing.
Prof. Chakrabarti has received numerous prestigious honours, including the DST BOYSCAST Fellowship, INSA Fellowship, JSPS Invitation Award (Japan), Erasmus Mundus Leaders Award (European Union), Hamied Visiting Professorship (University of Cambridge, UK), and the Siksha Ratna Award from the Government of West Bengal. He is a Fellow of the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology, a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM, and serves as an editor and reviewer for several leading international journals.

Dr. Debashis De is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, India. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), and Life Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI). He has received several prestigious honours, including the BOYSCAST Fellowship (India), Endeavour Fellowship (Australia), Young Scientist Awards (2005 and 2011), the J. C. Bose Research Award (2016), the Shiksha Ratna Award (2019), and the IETE Chartered Engineer recognition.
Prof. De has an outstanding research record with more than 400 journal publications, over 200 conference papers, 20 books, 4 patents, and 2 copyrights. He has successfully led research projects funded by AICTE, UGC, DST, the World Bank, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). He has also served in several professional leadership roles, including Chairman of CSI Kolkata Chapter, Chairman of IETE Kolkata Centre, and Executive Committee Member of IEEE Communications Society (COMSOC), Kolkata Chapter.
With an h-index of 50 and more than 12,000 citations, Prof. De is recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for several reputed international journals, including IEEE Access, Springer Multimedia Systems, Wiley International Journal of Communication Systems, and IET Quantum Communication. His current research interests include Edge Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and Quantum Computing.
Dr. Manash Chanda

Dr. Manash Chanda obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Jadavpur University, in 2018. He is currently serving as the Principal of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology. A Senior Member of IEEE, he is also an active member of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) and the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS). He is the co-founder of the IEEE Student Branch and the IEEE Electron Devices Society Student Branch Chapter at Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, where he currently serves as the Chapter Advisor.
Dr. Chanda is presently the Chairman of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) Kolkata Chapter. He previously served as the Joint Secretary (2017–2018) and Secretary (2018–2020) of the IEEE EDS Kolkata Chapter. In addition, he serves as a Member of the IEEE Region 10 Conference Quality and Management Committee. His research interests include nano-dimensional device modelling, low-power VLSI design, sensors, and AI/ML-driven VLSI systems. He has published more than 140 journal articles, conference papers, and books.
He was awarded the University Gold Medal in M.Tech from Jadavpur University in 2008. One of his VLSI design projects was selected among the Top 10 VLSI Projects in India at the Cadence Design Contest, Bangalore, in 2010. Dr. Chanda has served as the General Chair or Co-Chair of several prestigious IEEE conferences, including IEEE VLSI DCS 2020, IEEE EDKCON 2018, and IEEE VLSI DCS 2022. He has also delivered numerous IEEE technical lectures at international conferences, seminars, and Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs).
