Applications are invited for a walk-in-interview for the selection of project assistant position in a WBPCB funded project entitled "Development and optimization of plasmonics based low cost, ultrasensitive sensors for real world application: Prospect in the field of regional environmental pollution monitoring" in the Department of Basic Science and Humanities, Techno International New Town, Kolkata – 700156, on 10th June, 2019 (Monday) at 12.30 PM for the selection of Project Assistant under the supervision of Prof. Mala Mitra, Techno International New Town (TINT) (PI), Prof Arpita Chattopadhyay, TINT (CO-PI) and Prof Samir Kumar Pal, S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences (CO-PI).
Highly motivated candidates with excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills, good work ethics and the ability to work in a highly inter-disciplinary research group with following qualification are strongly encouraged to appear in the interview.
Number of Post: 01 (One)
Qualification: A M.Sc. degree in Physics / Biophysics / Chemistry / Bio-Chemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology or equivalent is required. As the development of Nanomaterial based sensor for environmental use is also a part of the Project, candidates from Engineering background with B. Tech. degree in Electronics / Optoelectronics / Instrumentation / Biomedical instrumentation with two years of experience in project related area are also eligible to appear.
Duration: 2 years
Desirable Qualification: Working experience on the field of Nano-Particle synthesis and their spectroscopic analysis.
Fellowship: Rs 12,000/- per month (consolidated)
